Meet Jesse! This sweet little lady is a four year old poodle mix who weighs just under 20lbs so she's a double whammy - small AND a poodle! While she likes to play shy and hard to get at first, once she sees you putting in the work for her, she does warm up. We've had for a few days shy of a full week and she's already coming out of her shell - she loves her walks and loves being an absolute velcro pup once she decides that you're her person and will stick right by your side. Jesse previously lived with at least one other dog and did well with him. While she's been here, she hasn't shown any red flags with other dogs though more "in your face" dogs with a lot of bouncy energy tend to spook her, which...you know, fair enough. She's also been fine with cats here and would probably mesh well with dog-savvy cats but be absolutely terrified if one tried to start beef with her. Since she's a shy princess at first, we would prefer that any children in the home be at least 12yo. She's the kind of lady that, once you prove you're worth the effort, she'll be all about you. She'll glue herself to your side, lounge in your lap and watch all the comings and goings around her, She'll need daily walks (at least) and regular grooming and, since poodles are SO highly intelligent, she'll need things to keep her busy to prevent anxiety.
