Max is a lovely dog looking for a peaceful home where he can truly thrive. He prefers solitude over the company of other pets, so being the only pet in the house would make him the happiest. During his time at TJO, he has shown some sensitivity to interactions, especially with rough handling. Ideally, he would do best with older children, around 15 years and up, who can respect his space and help him feel comfortable. While he may be an older dog, Max still has plenty of energy and enjoys playing with toys and relaxing in sunny spots. Regular exercise combined with some mental stimulation will keep him happy and healthy. Max will require a vet who is familiar with his medical history, especially since he has some skin concerns that are improving.
