Hi! My name is Bake and I am available for adoption! I came in with my brother Shake (A746800) and we have been here since May 2026. We have had a bit of a bumpy journey- we were in foster care with a RASKC Volunteer when we had to be placed in Ringworm Isolation for a few weeks. We are clear now, but I am a bit grumpy about the whole thing. My caretakers promise I love pets, but I am slow to trust. I need someone who will force a little love on me, but also give me a bit of time and space to warm up. You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Your new pet received a basic physical exam, in addition to routine vaccines, deworming, and topical flea preventative, if indicated. Although your new pet is ready for adoption, there is always a possibility of additional medical conditions that have not been detected or may develop in the future. Current medical conditions are noted below. 1) This kitten was noted to have head and body tremors since entering the shelter and whilst in foster care. The symptoms are most common with a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia, which is a genetic or born with condition affecting the brain's ability to control fine motor movements. This conditon can present from mild signs (not affecting quality of life) to severe signs (kitten is unable to care for itself and is a welfare concern). This kitten's symptoms are mild-moderate which means that some measures may be needed to maintain quality of life such as a low sided litter box. If you wish to pursue a complete diagnosis, this is typically done via a neurology referral, however this is generally not needed. This kitten should stay indoors or in a protected outdoor space as his disability will make him prone to injury and predators. Additional care for these conditions may be needed after adoption.
