Some kittens race into new adventures. Johnnie prefers to take a moment, look around, and make sure everything feels safe first. This handsome boy is a gentle, observant soul who is blossoming more every day in his foster home. While he may be slow to warm up, Johnnie has so much love to give to the people lucky enough to earn his trust. He isn't one to leap into every new situation, but his bravery and confidence continue to grow, and it has been wonderful watching him discover just how great life can be. Johnnie came from the streets of Harrisburg with his siblings, and life wasn't always easy for this little guy. Because of his rough start, he takes a little longer than some kittens to feel completely safe in new situations. But kittens like Johnnie often become the most rewarding companions. When they choose to trust you, the bond is incredibly special, and their love feels all the more meaningful because it was earned through patience and understanding. Johnnie adores his sister, Bombay, and would love nothing more than to be adopted with her. If he isn't adopted with Bombay, Johnnie will need a young feline companion under 4 years old to help him continue blossoming and to give him a best friend to spend his days cuddling, playing, and growing up with. Once he feels comfortable, Johnnie's affectionate side shines through. He air kneads when he's happy, kneads every soft blanket he can find, and purrs contentedly when being petted. His sweet, soulful eyes seem to tell a story, and they will absolutely melt your heart. Johnnie will need a quiet home with a predictable routine and no children under 12 years old. He will likely take longer to settle into a new home than some kittens, but like many children, some kittens simply develop at their own pace. He needs a family that understands that trust takes time and is willing to let him bloom on his own schedule. His entire litter is affection overload, and Johnnie is no exception his love just takes a little longer to reveal itself. Johnnie is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He is ready to find the patient, understanding family he deserves.
