Fostered in Newark -- Blizzard's story is one of hardships and remarkable recovery. He was rescued from the streets of Irvington before the last big snow storm in February. After his neuter surgery we discovered he was FeLV positive. We ran additional diagnostics and found out he has a regressive form of the virus. It's dormant and as long as he's kept indoors and closely monitored, he can live a long normal life. In late February, Blizzard began to retain fluids and stopped eating. He was diagnosed with FIP. He completed his 3 months treatment and is FIP free now based on blood work. Blizzard is thriving now. He's put on weight, his coat is shiny and soft. He loves to eat, cuddle, sleep on top of you, and play with ball toys. Blizzard is about 5 years old. Neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, FIV negative and FeLV positive. He must be adopted alone. He requires no medication or additional treatment.
