Guava is part of a trio of sisters we recently welcomed all the way from sunny Puerto Rico! Guava and her sisters were one of over 600,000 estimated stray dogs on the island, who are collectively known as "Satos." We have a relationship with a rescue based on the island who takes in as many as they can off the streets, places them in kind foster homes, and gets them medically ready to travel. Then, "flight angels" (typically tourists returning home) volunteer to fly with a pup in the cabin, and when they land they are Heartland dogs! We love our Sato babies so much and while we never play favorites...we cannot recall a cuter bunch than these! These girls are teeny and are likely to remain small/medium sized. We have had them with us for a brief time, but they are so social and loving! We know that Papaya is the outgoing one, Mango is the affectionate one, and little Guava is shy and precious! We could not love these babies more, and we know you will fall in love instantly. Hurry in to meet these island ladies! Guava's adoption fee is $450. She is spayed, and is up to date on core vaccines. She will need a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age at the adopter's own vet. Since she is a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement training only.
