About Eukanuba

Meet Eukanuba, but we call him Buddy! Name: Eukanuba (aka Buddy) Breed Mix: A mix of awesomeness Age: 1-2 years old Weight : 56-60lbs Dogs? Yes Cats? Yes-dog savvy cats Kids? Yes House-trained? Yes with a routine Crate Trained? Yes Leash Trained? Yes If you're looking for a dog who greets every day with a wagging tail and a happy heart, Buddy might just be your perfect match. At one to two years old and around 60 pounds, Buddy is a young guy who is still learning the ropes, but he's eager to please and absolutely loves being part of the family. He's crate-trained, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. Best of all, he's incredibly food-motivated and loves affection, making him a great candidate for continued training. Buddy has been a star when it comes to house training! As long as he's given regular opportunities to head outside, he does very well. He's still working on the "excuse me, I need to go out" part of the equation, so a family willing to keep him on a routine while he learns those signals will help him continue to thrive. One of his favorite things in the world? Other dogs! Buddy would happily spend hours playing with a canine companion and has a wonderful, easygoing play style that adapts well to different dog personalities. He has lived primarily with large dogs in his foster home and would fit in with a playful dog friend who enjoys a good wrestle session. That said, he'd also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only as long as he gets plenty of love, attention, and opportunities to socialize. Buddy is a social butterfly who wants to be everyone's friend. He loves meeting new people and has done well with children in his foster home. He currently lives with kids over the age of 5. Like many young dogs, he can get excited when the action picks up, so families should be prepared for some enthusiastic greetings that involve jumping and barking. Buddy currently lives with cats and does well, though he thinks a running cat is an invitation to play. Dog-savvy cats who don't mind a curious canine roommate would be the best fit. As a young dog, Buddy still has a few puppy habits. He enjoys chewing and will need appropriate toys, supervision, and continued guidance as he matures. The good news is that he's eager to learn and responds well to treats and positive reinforcement. At bedtime, Buddy sleeps quietly in his crate and settles in nicely after a little encouragement (and maybe a treat or two). During the day, he can spend a few hours in his crate and settles best when he's had exercise beforehand. When playtime is over, Buddy is all about the snuggles. He loves being wherever his people are and is happiest when he's included in family activities. His energy level is moderatehe'll enjoy a game of fetch, but don't expect him to chase a ball endlessly. He'd much rather spend time with his people or play with a canine friend than run a marathon. Buddy is a sweet, friendly, affectionate young dog who is ready to find a family of his own. Whether he's making new friends, playing with other dogs, joining you on a car ride, or curling up for a cuddle, he's happiest simply being part of the action.
