She's been spending time in a loving foster home where she's received rave reviews! "Lyra is a complete joy. She absolutely loves to cuddle. She has no idea that she doesn't fit in my lap. She loves other dogs and adventurous walks. One thing that I find really interesting is that she's a good communicator. She now looks out the window when she wants to walk. She wakes me up if we're off schedule. And we do this thing where before she eats, she gives me her paw and so now when she's hungry, she'll give me paw to let me know." Lyra also recently traveled with her temporary mom and did great! Lyra has a bilateral hip dysplasia, but it doesn't slow her down one bit. She may need hip surgery later on in life when she is full grown if it continues to bother her. Bideawee is happy to cover the surgical care of her hips through the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center when and if it is needed. Any other medical care not related to her hip dysplasia and not through the Anima Medical Center is not covered by Bideawee post adoption, and our adoption associates will be happy to speak with you about this further.
