Blanca is an 8-year-old Chihuahua who came to us from a hoarding situation involving 18 dogs in Palmdale, California. Having spent much of her life in an overcrowded environment, Blanca is now learning what it means to be safe, cared for, and loved as an individual. As we continue to get to know her, Blanca has shown herself to be a sweet, gentle, and mellow little companion. She enjoys the simple things in lifea comfortable place to rest, a predictable routine, and the reassurance that shes finally in a loving home. Like many dogs from hoarding situations, Blanca was never given the opportunity to learn many of the basic skills and experiences that most dogs take for granted. She will benefit from a patient adopter who can help her continue building confidence and discovering the world at her own pace. While she shares the same calm and affectionate nature as many of the dogs rescued alongside her, Blanca has also started to reveal a protective side. Shes incredibly observant and likes to keep an eye on her people, especially when visitors arrive. Its her own special way of looking out for those she loves. After everything shes been through, Blanca is ready for a fresh start with a family who will cherish her for the wonderful little dog she is.
