Chiquita is a 13-year-old Chihuahua who came to us from a hoarding situation involving 18 dogs in Palmdale, California. After spending much of her life in an overcrowded environment, she's now discovering a kinder and much bigger world. Like many dogs from such circumstances, Chiquita can be nervous in new situations. However, her bravery shines through. Instead of hiding, she approaches new people with a hopeful spirit, acknowledging the kind humans eager to earn her trust. Chiquita's wonderful curiosity is an endearing trait. She may be cautious, but her desire to explore—whether it’s a new space or the sounds around her—helps her conquer her uncertainties. Chiquita is still learning the joys of a loving home. A patient adopter can help build her confidence as she navigates her new life step by step. She deserves a family that will celebrate her courageous spirit while providing the nurturing she needs.
