Meet Gemma! Gemma is a sweet girl who has shown a bsolutely zero aggression. She is a bit nervous, and needs some patience when she’s learning her environment and new skills. In hard to navigate situations she is happy to be carried. She seems to like children and dogs, though can get anxious with prolonged chaos. She sleeps very nicely both in her kennel and her foster mom’s bed. She will cry if she needs to go to the bathroom (and should be taken out immediately to prevent accidents) but will go right back in her crate. Her foster family has yet to hear her bark! She would do best in a calm environment but seems to love all humans and other animals so far. It does not seem like she has been trained previously, so things like “sit”, walking up stairs, and “come” need to be worked on. She walks on a leash but does go very slow because she wants to sniff it all and sometimes can get nervous. Be warned, she will follow you around the house, but if you work from home she will sleep quietly at your feet. She is about 4 years old, 10 pounds, and a poodle so won’t shed but will require regular grooming.
