Meet Rooster. This handsome 5-year-old boy is ready for a fresh start. He’s friendly and enjoys being around people, plus he loves his walks. Rooster walks well overall, but he’s a strong dog with plenty of energy, so he’s best suited for someone who’s comfortable managing a larger pup. Rooster’s past is a bit of a mystery. Although he came in as a "stray," it turns out he was actually an owner surrender, leaving him understandably confused as he adjusts to shelter life. Despite what he's been through, Rooster greets staff with a wagging tail and a sweet demeanor. Given his size and energy level, Rooster would thrive in a home with teens and older. If you're ready to meet him, come to the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter in Bridgewater, NJ, where we’re open seven days a week from 12 PM to 3:30 PM. No appointment needed!
