About Cody
Meet Cody, our lovable lowrider with a long body, short legs, and a huge personality. At 23 years old and around 25 lbs, he embodies the charm of his low-slung, long-backed build, making him instantly endearing. Cody thrives on companionship and shows a calm, people-oriented temperament. His happiest moments are right next to his human. Cody came to us as a stray and has spent much of his early life in a kennel. Despite his rocky beginning, he’s incredibly affectionate, eager to bond, and just wants a safe space to call home. Crates aren’t suitable for him, so a baby gate will do the trick when you need to contain him. This little guy is not only deeply loving but also friendly with other dogs. However, Cody prefers to be the sole recipient of your attention, flourishing as the center of your world. He naturally assumes the alpha role if there is another dog in the home, but he’s not aggressive—his confidence simply shines through. Cody is house trained, using a pet door to manage his business. He is observant and adapts well if there’s a consistent schedule. He loves exploring the yard, following you around, and finding cozy spots to snuggle. Adoption criteria include a fully fenced yard (no invisible fences), preferably no other dogs, and children aged 7 years or older. Someone who is home more during the day would suit him best as he thrives on companionship. Cody comes to you neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He can’t wait to meet his forever family where he can share his love and companionship. Let’s make some memories together!
