Rescued from a San Antonio kill shelter, he was given a second chance at life, but like many shelter survivors, he carries a few emotional scars from his past. Today, Scout is safe in boarding with caring volunteers who spend time helping him build confidence and learn to trust. Every day he takes another small step forward, and every day he becomes a little braver than the day before. Scout is a handsome young boy with soulful eyes and a gentle heart. He isn't the dog who will immediately jump into your lap or demand attention. Instead, he's the kind of dog who will quietly watch, learn, and slowly decide that you're his person. And when that day comes, the bond you build with a dog like Scout is truly something special. The shy dogs are often the most rewarding. They teach us patience, trust, and the incredible power of kindness. Scout is looking for a family willing to give him time to settle in, decompress, and discover what it means to finally belong.
