If you love orange tabbies, pick PAPAYA. He will stand "by ya" b/c he is PURRfecto. PAPAYA is one of our 5 new Tennessee cats removed from a troublesome environment, and are now safe at Last Hope. A cat rescue friend learned that a Tennessee woman was living in a trailer without electricity along with 17 intact adult cats. The woman explained how overwhelmed she was & how her hoarding situation was getting worse because the nearest veterinary hospital to spay/ neuter them was 100 miles away, and her funds were quite limited. The LI Rescue friend went to Tennessee to help the woman with her cats. She got all the cats spay/neutered at McMinn Regional Humane Society, and made arrangements to bring all 17 to Long Island & have various private rescues take them. On her trip home, the friend learned that one LI rescue reneged on their promise to take some of the 17. That's when she called Last Hope for emergency help. Last Hope took 5 of the cats, including PAPAYA who is in our Wantagh Cat Center & wants to spread his southern gentlecat charm to you there & continue to do so at home.
