MY AGE: 1 year WEIGHT: 82 lbs MY STORY: Meet Mia Oh, Mia. She's the dog everyone falls in love with. At just 1 year old and 82 pounds, Mia is a big girl with an even bigger heart. We believe she is a Great Pyrenees mix, and anyone interested in adopting her should take some time to learn about the breed's characteristics and needs. Great Pyrenees-type dogs are known for being loyal, intelligent, devoted to their families, and often independent thinkers. Mia came to us from a shelter in Alabama, where she was surrendered with the heartbreaking reason listed as "unwanted." Despite that, Mia hasn't let her past dampen her spirit. She greets life with enthusiasm and is ready to find the family she has always deserved. Mia absolutely adores people and thrives on attention. One of her favorite things to do is stand up on her hind legs and give hugs. While we're working on teaching her more appropriate greetings, it's impossible not to appreciate how much she loves being close to her humans. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys making new friends. Mia is social, affectionate, and happiest when she is included in family activities. Mia also loves going for walks and spending time outdoors. Whether she's exploring the neighborhood, taking in new sights and smells, or simply enjoying the fresh air, she's always eager for an adventure. Her curious nature and love of the outdoors are traits often seen in Great Pyrenees mixes.
