Lilly Lu is a beautiful 3-year-old girl with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. Her journey hasn't been an easy one, but she's ready to leave the past behind and find the loving forever home she deserves. Lilly was originally adopted from another shelter years ago and later passed on to another owner. Unfortunately, when her most recent owner faced housing difficulties, they made the heartbreaking decision to abandon Lilly and another dog miles away from where they lived. Thankfully, Animal Control was able to safely capture Lilly and bring her to safety. Her canine companion was also located and picked up that same night. Despite everything she's been through, Lilly remains incredibly sweet, loving, and eager to make new friends. She is energetic and enjoys staying active, but she also loves affection and spending time with her people. Lilly appears to do well with other dogs, though a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs will be required to ensure a good fit. Lilly is interested in cats, but with the right cats that may adjust well, she could do fine. She does have playful energy and doesn't mean harm; she is just big and beefy. She knows some basic commands, keeps a clean kennel, and is clearly looking to please. She may benefit from a little extra work on her manners, but she's smart, willing to learn, and has all the potential to be an amazing companion. Lilly Lu has already overcome so much. Now all she needs is someone willing to give her the stability, love, and second chance she deserves.
