About Dottie

Meet Dottie Dottie is a 3-year-old sweetheart with the cutest smooshy face and an even sweeter personality. This adorable stray may have had a rough start, but you'd never know it from the love she has to give. When you meet Dottie, her happy little tail starts wagging right away. She loves people and is always hoping for a kind word, a gentle pet, or someone to spend time with. Shelter life can be overwhelming for her, and the noise sometimes makes her nervous, but this brave girl handles it all with quiet grace. Once outside, Dottie relaxes and truly shines. She loves staying close to her person and enjoys simply being together. During a recent volunteer outing, she happily hopped onto a bench to sit beside her companion, soaking up affection and enjoying some peaceful cuddle time. Dottie arrived as a stray and could use a little pampering, but beneath the dirt is a beautiful soul with a gentle heart. Despite whatever challenges she has faced, she remains loving, loyal, and eager to connect with people. Dottie is dreaming of a soft bed, a caring family, and a place where she can finally feel safe and loved. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will stay by your side and fill your days with affection, Dottie may be the perfect match. Come meet Dottie and see if she's the missing piece of your family. Stopped outside her kennel, tossed in a treat and she went right in. Leash was removed easily. Color Level: Exp Gold Per staff 6/19: Wiggly in kennel, barks. When walking out stopped at the doorway. Used treats to get to love forward and walked outside Playgroup 6/18: loose at the fence, good greetings. Not steerable 0/5 with water and 1/5 with can. Came in and mingled around the yard, gentle and dainty. Volunteer 6/17/26: I met this adorable smooshy-faced girl tonight, and she completely melted my heart. When I first saw Dottie, she was sitting in her kennel looking impossibly cute, her little tail wagging away as she pawed at the door as if to say, "Hi! Please come love me!" She was so excited to get out, but like many shelter dogs, the loud environment made her a little nervous. Despite that, Dottie was incredibly brave. Once we made it outside, she stayed right by my side the entire time and seemed so relieved to be away from the noise. This sweet girl is an absolute love bug. She even hopped up onto the bench to sit next to me, soaking up affection and enjoying some quiet companionship. It's clear Dottie hasn't had an easy road. She's pretty dirty and could definitely use a good bath, but that's an easy fix. What shines through immediately is her gentle, loving personality. No matter what she's been through, she still wants nothing more than to be close to people and give her heart away. Dottie deserves a soft bed, a loving family, and a chance to leave shelter life behind. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side through everything, this girl might just be your perfect match.
