Caico
AvailableCaico is a young, male, small mixed breed dog with a loving personality. He has been altered and is looking for a caring family that can help him build confidence. Located in Cincinnati, OH, he is ready for his forever home.
About Caico
Meet Caico, a tender-hearted puppy originally rescued from St. Lucia, who is ready for a loving home where he can truly flourish. While he may seem timid at first, offering him some treats and gentle attention reveals his playful spirit. Caico has an incredible knack for bonding with dogs and humans alike, marked by his sensitivity to their emotions. His previous home featured a senior dog, and once she returned from a hospital stay, he instinctively adjusted his play style to be gentle and supportive. In our shelter playgroups, Caico shines, energetically engaging with every dog he meets and having successfully lived with both smaller and larger companions. However, mealtime requires a bit of caution; to ensure peace, he should eat in a separate area due to some resource guarding tendencies formed during his time on the streets. Once you earn his trust, prepare for endless butt scratches as Caico loves to cuddle up. He enjoys playing with stuffed toys, although he tends to dismantle them completely! Due to only having one eye, he is sensitive to sudden movements and loud noises, which means he will thrive in a calm environment where someone is dedicated to helping him gain confidence. Caico truly seeks a family that has the time and patience to nurture his development. If you're ready to embrace a loving, devoted friend, visit him at SPCA Cincinnati today!
