About Maeve
Maeve is an 8-year-old chihuahua mix, likely a chiweenie, weighing in at around 10 lbs. She arrived in New Hampshire after a heartbreaking surrender where euthanasia was its grim fate, but thankfully, that didn’t happen. Upon coming to the rescue, Maeve faced some health issues, including a large tumor that turned out to be a significant inguinal hernia. She had two surgeries and has been spayed as well. Maeve also received treatment for allergies, including a cytopoint injection, which has helped improve her itchy skin. Although her coat still shows some redness, it's healing well with a good mix of multivitamins and omega-3 oil at her foster home. It’s worth noting that she may require ongoing health care, possibly including future surgeries. While Maeve is a dominant dog, she gets along well with other dogs and even a cat. However, she wouldn’t thrive in a home with another dominant dog. She handles crate time well while her foster mom is at work and is housebroken. Maeve is protective and alert—she loves to keep watch by the window, alerting you to any passersby. Despite her sassiness, she is also incredibly sweet and cuddly, often content to snuggle by your side. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, Maeve fits the bill. She's up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and ready for her forever home. Consider making Maeve a part of your life; she may just be the perfect fit for you. What are you waiting for?
