About Duke L.
SHY AT FIRST, LOYAL FOREVER Meet Duke L. If you want a loyal companion with a gentle heart and a goofy side, he could be the one for you. Duke can be a bit reserved around new people and unfamiliar situations. When he first arrived at his foster home, he kept his distance from humans, but with patience and kindness, he’s blossomed. Now, he greets his foster mom each morning with tail wags and wiggles, often showering her with hand and forehead kisses when she crouches down. Living with other dogs, Duke truly shines. He loves having canine buddies around and would thrive best with a calm, confident dog that can help him build his confidence. He's house-trained, navigates the doggy door like a champ, and can be left home alone without issues. Whether indoors or outdoors, he enjoys spending time with his dog pals and has a playful side. A toy, a chew, or a kiddie pool after the rain can bring out his silly spirit. Duke occasionally takes himself outside for a quick zoomie session before kicking back to relax. Though he can be shy with people, Duke is never aggressive. He just needs a family that understands his need for time and space to trust. Once he feels secure, his goofy personality shines. His foster mom loves seeing him play peekaboo through the doggy door, proudly returning for kisses. Duke isn't high-energy but enjoys exploring the yard, playing with friends, and lounging nearby. Loud noises and storms don’t faze him, and he remains respectful in the home. What Duke needs most is a patient family willing to support him as he continues to grow, celebrating his progress along the way. In return, he offers a sweet, curious, and goofy companionship that’s truly special. Could you be the family he’s been waiting for?
