About Chili
Chili is a young Australian Cattle Dog who has returned to the shelter, not because of any fault of her own, but because her love was deemed too much for someone to handle. Weighing around 25 lbs, she’s a velcro pup who just wants to be nearby, feeling safe and chosen. Now, in her kennel, she appears quiet and still, watching the door for signs of her next chance at love. Every sound makes her flinch, but she still holds onto hope. Outside in the play yard, she transforms; her playful spirit shines as she runs around and interacts with other dogs. Chili is house trained and gets along well with both dogs and children. All she needs is a home where her affection is welcomed, not labeled as too much. Unfortunately, she is one of six cattle dogs in the shelter, each misunderstood and waiting for their forever home. Australian Cattle Dogs are known for their loyalty and intelligence — they just need someone who recognizes their worth. Chili is ready to offer her heart to the right person. Could that be you?
