About Taba Urgent
Taba is an urgent situation. He’s a young Lab and Hound mix, around 1 year old, currently facing a serious health risk due to an upper respiratory infection. This illness places him in danger of euthanasia at the shelter. Taba has been waiting for a home since June 4, 2026, and he truly needs a loving family as soon as possible. He is being held at the Kern County Animal Services in Bakersfield. The shelter is overcrowded, housing over 300 dogs and puppies in less than ideal conditions. Adopting Taba means saving a life while bringing a loyal companion into your home. He's unaltered, up to date on vaccinations, but still needs some house training. If you're interested in making a difference in Taba's life, contact Companion Animal Protection Services (CAPS) for adoption information. They can facilitate the process from the shelter in Bakersfield, just don't forget that they may not respond to phone inquiries quickly due to limited staffing. Ready to give Taba the safe home he desperately needs? Apply to adopt today!
