About Bert
Bert is a charming 3-year-old Chiweenie who has made remarkable strides in his foster home. Initially fearful and unsure, he has become more comfortable with the world, thanks to the love and patience he has received. Although he's still sensitive to sudden movements and loud sounds, his affectionate nature comes alive once he trusts someone. This sweet boy loves to cuddle, enjoys being around other dogs, and finds joy in something as simple as ice cubes. Having another calm and friendly dog in his environment has been a huge help for Bert, offering him reassurance and company. He would thrive in a home where he can take his time adjusting, comforted by the presence of a canine buddy who can help him navigate new experiences. Bert may be hesitant with strangers at first, but once you gain his trust, the bond you will share will be worth the wait. He's looking for a patient and understanding family that celebrates his small victories along the way. Bert is adoptable by appointment only. Please email dogadoptteam@aartxas.org to meet him.
