About Braille

Braille is a 4-month-old puppy who already weighs 18 lbs. Although she is blind and deaf, she embodies the spirit and energy of a typical pup. She's full of life and incredibly resilient, bringing joy to her foster family every day. This playful girl thrives on interaction, enjoying roughhousing with her canine foster siblings and engaging with her favorite toys, particularly mini milkbones. Though she's fostered with 13 cats, she largely ignores them, showing her calm nature. Braille is great with kids, making her a wonderful companion for families. Her day starts with breakfast, often accompanied by loving touches from her foster mom. After enjoying time outdoors, she either goes to work with her foster mom or indulges in playtime or naps. Braille does well alone for short periods but is also fully crate-trained. Thanks to her blindness, she focuses on her toys rather than finding trouble to chew on. After her dinner, she goes for a two-mile walk where she walks perfectly on a leash. Recently, she’s taken to splashing around in a kiddie pool, enjoying every minute of it. Braille has a knack for car rides too; the vibrations seem to lull her to sleep. She learns commands through touch, mastering sit, shake, and working on down. Braille finds her bed cozy and is comfortable navigating a few stairs, although she’s still getting the hang of larger flights. Her foster mom is focused on socializing her in various situations, ensuring she grows into a confident girl. Braille would thrive in a family with a fenced yard, ready to continue her evening walks and touch training. An ideal home would involve some work-from-home flexibility or doggy daycare visits since she thrives on social interaction. She’s a loving soul eager for experiences that will help her reach her full potential. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
