About Karen

Karen has arrived and is ready to find her forever home! This 10-week-old mixed breed female pup is expected to grow into a medium to larger size dog. Currently, she’s fostering with her sister, Gretchen, in Madison. These little pups were abandoned in Texas alongside their sisters, Regina and Cady. But don’t let their "Mean Girl" moniker fool you—Karen and her siblings are all about love and play. Confident and sassy, they thrive on companionship and will stay close, but they also know how to wind down after a good romp. Karen sleeps quietly through the night in her kennel, a marked contrast to her playful energy. Karen adores kids but keep an eye out for those playful puppy teeth! She gets along well with other dogs and is always ready for fun. While she hasn’t been around cats yet, her young age may help her adapt. Weighing in at 7 lbs, Karen is a touch calmer than her sister Gretchen, who tips the scales at 10 lbs. Both are currently learning the ropes of puppy life, including leash walking, potty and crate training. They are motivated by food, which makes training a bit easier. Give Karen a chance—her sweet nature will surely bring joy to any home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
