About Onyx

Meet Onyx! This gentle male cat is one of the sweetest companions you could hope for. Though he may not prefer the camera, his kind personality shines through. Onyx came to the shelter as a stray and has faced some challenges, including a painful eye condition known as entropion, which required treatment. Fortunately, he's now recovering and ready for a loving home. His dental health was also a concern, with several broken teeth, but that hasn’t diminished his affectionate nature. Despite being diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), Onyx can still lead a full life and enjoy many years of companionship. He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, and he’s looking for a cozy spot to settle down and plenty of petting. Adopters should consult with a veterinarian regarding his FIV status, but with proper care, he can thrive. Onyx is currently at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, located in Dedham, MA.
