Shaggy is a small male dog, a mix of Terrier with a short coat, characterized by a blend of apricot and beige colors. He is about three to four years old, house trained, and has been neutered. Currently residing in Hondo, TX, Shaggy is also up to date on his vaccinations. He’s looking for a gentle environment as he continues to adjust to life outside of the rescue.

About Shaggy

Shaggy is an adorable little guy weighing just nine pounds. This Chihuahua-Terrier mix came to us from Laredo, Texas, having lived in a backyard with other dogs and struggling with fleas and ticks. Initially, Shaggy was wary of people, showing a bit of sass with his curled lip and cautious demeanor. However, as he acclimated to his new environment at Tracy’s Paws, his true gentle nature blossomed. Now, this sweet boy is ready for the comfort of a loving home. At around three to four years old, Shaggy is looking for a patient adopter and ideally a home without small children, where he can feel safe and build trust in his own time. Although he’s had a rough start, Shaggy is heartworm and Chagas-negative, eager to leave rescue life behind. This little one longs for a soft lap to curl up on and a kind heart to support him as he continues to come out of his shell. If you think you can provide Shaggy with the loving home he deserves, please apply online to adopt him today. He is currently located in Hondo, Texas. Give Shaggy the chance for a new beginning and a family he can call his own.
