About Zest
Meet Zest! This charming male husky-shepherd mix is a bundle of joy. Born on February 21, 2026, Zest is just a small puppy, expected to grow to around 30-40 pounds. He was rescued from the streets, where he lived with his mom and ten siblings, and he’s now looking for his forever home through the Cantu Foundation. Zest is eager to learn and is currently pee pad trained, although he hasn't yet mastered crate or leash training. He’s excited to learn from his new family! This affectionate puppy gets along well with other dogs and children, and while he hasn't met any cats yet, he’s sure he’d love them too. Cuddly and playful, he loves to be picked up and enjoys playing with his foster siblings. One thing to note is that Zest experiences some separation anxiety. He tends to bark and scratch when left alone for more than ten minutes, as he deeply craves companionship. His fosters describe him as loving, playful, and a bit goofy. Zest would thrive in a home with a friendly dog buddy and a yard, but more than anything, he needs love and attention. His adoption fee is $550, which covers his first year of vaccinations, neuter, and microchip. Ready to meet Zest? He can’t wait to welcome you into his life!
