Meet Poppy! This sweet girl was surrendered when her owner had to move and couldn't take her along. Despite that, she remains loving and full of life. Poppy gets along well with other dogs and children, though her playful spirit might make her a little too enthusiastic for toddlers. She’s used to smaller dogs and has no issues with cats. Large dogs can make her nervous, but with patience and positive experiences, she's starting to learn that they can be friends too. At just over a year old and weighing about 32 pounds, Poppy is still very much a puppy. She's fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm treated, with her preventative care up to date. Poppy tested positive for heartworms upon entering rescue but has successfully completed her treatment and is ready for her next chapter. Friendly and affectionate, Poppy loves car rides and would thrive in an active home, whether that means joining a runner on daily outings or being a playful companion. She’s about to start basic obedience classes to become the best version of herself. Right now, Poppy is in a foster home in Memphis, waiting patiently for her forever family.
