About Big Mike

Meet Big Mike, a 1.5-year-old Neapolitan Mastiff mix weighing in at about 120 pounds. This striking giant has faced more neglect than any dog should, which is why he truly deserves a second chance. After being surrendered to a Good Samaritan, he arrived needing extensive medical care, proper nutrition, and a whole lot of love. Despite his past, Big Mike has remained a gentle giant with a heart of gold. He’s friendly with people and great with kids, plus he enjoys the company of other dogs. However, he’s still figuring out how he feels about cats. Big Mike can get a bit anxious when left alone, but that's understandable given his history. Now that he’s starting to feel safe, he just wants to know he’s loved. Big Mike is heartworm positive, but he’s already on the path to recovery thanks to Take Paws and their generous supporters. What he needs now is a forever home where he can finally be cherished. He dreams of a soft bed, good meals, and a yard to romp around in. If you’re ready to give this sweet soul the love he’s always deserved, he can’t wait to meet you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
