About Mort

Meet Mort, an English Coonhound mix, and a true gentleman at heart. This sweet 8-year-old has been through some changes after being surrendered to a county shelter due to some discomfort around a toddler in his previous home. While Mort never acted aggressively, the noise and chaos of the shelter environment left him confused and anxious. Thankfully, he’s now settling into a quieter and more supportive shelter space. Mort is housebroken, good on a leash, and tends to be rather easygoing. Though he hasn't played actively with other dogs yet, he does have a few buddies he enjoys spending time with. His playful side comes out when he’s around toys; you’ll often find him happily carrying them around and tossing them in the air, displaying a charming sense of joy. He seeks a calm and loving home where he can receive the affection he deserves. Let's help Mort find that kind-hearted person to share his golden years with!
