About Cocoa

Meet Cocoa, a delightful 3-year-old corgi/dachshund mix with an infectious personality and a big heart. Weighing in at 27 pounds, Cocoa is fully house trained, though she settles well on her own without a crate. She enjoys both playtime and cuddle time, making her a well-rounded companion for any family. Cocoa is a playful and active dog who loves social outings, from farmers markets to adventures with other dogs. She walks nicely on a leash with a little guidance and is happiest when showered with attention from her humans. Being curled up next to you or following you around the house brings her joy. This sweet girl does well with other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion, but she’s also happy as the focal point of love and attention. Cocoa has been exposed to cats and, while she can be wary at first, she typically adjusts well. Toys are Cocoa’s delight; she thoroughly enjoys chewing on bones and playing with soft toys, capable of entertaining herself for hours. Although she has a higher energy level, she’s also content to relax for a cozy nap or a cuddle. Cocoa can be a bit anxious about car rides and takes some coaxing to get into the vehicle, yet once inside, she lays down comfortably and doesn’t experience car sickness. She always brightens up when reaching new destinations. For families with young kids, Cocoa’s excitement might be overwhelming; older children who understand dog behavior will suit her best. Because of her energy and playful tendencies, a fenced yard is a must for her new home. If you’re in the Central Florida/Orlando area and looking for a loving companion who balances playfulness and cuddles, Cocoa might just be the match for you.
