About Rumi
Rumi (pronounced ROO-me) is a delightful female kitten with long, warm black fur and subtle grays behind her ears, just like her mother. Born on March 2, 2026, she came into this world alongside her siblings in a foster home, after her mother was rescued from an unfortunate situation in Phoenix. Named after a character from a popular kids movie, Rumi comes with a personality that’s both charming and playful. She plays hard to get, often pretending she doesn’t enjoy gentle pets. However, with a little persistence, Rumi transforms into a playful companion who adores chin scratches and jumping after wand toys. While she enjoys her independence, she does require a furry friend in her new home, ideally another cat or kitten. Rumi has not yet been introduced to dogs, as she tends to be startled by loud noises and sudden movements. Great with kids who understand cat behavior, Rumi is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on vaccinations. She’s ready to find a forever home where she can feel safe and loved. If you’re intrigued by her charming antics, Rumi could be the perfect addition to your family. You can meet her at our PetSmart Adoption center located at 16257 N. Scottsdale Rd.
