About Harriet

Harriet has some wonderful news to share! She’s officially healed from her surgeries and is ready to find the forever family she’s been waiting for. This precious little senior Yorkie (or Yorkie mix) is estimated to be around 10-11 years old, and her one simple wish is a warm lap, a loving heart, and a safe place to enjoy her golden years. Harriet is a quiet, gentle soul who can be timid at first. Once she feels secure, she’s happiest curled up in the lap of her favorite person. Snuggling is definitely her favorite pastime. Having recently undergone a much-needed dental procedure, Harriet has said goodbye to a mouth full of rotten teeth. She now sports an adorable smile with just two tiny teeth left. All of her tumors were successfully removed, and every mass was benign except for one very small mammary tumor, which was also completely excised. Her blood work looks great, and she’s feeling better than ever! Harriet is crate trained but still working on house training. Frequent potty breaks and potty pads are helping her succeed. She may need a securely fenced yard or an exercise pen for outdoor potty breaks, as she startles easily and might run if frightened. If your idea of happiness is sharing the couch with a tiny companion who asks for very little besides love, Harriet may be your perfect match. She’s survived a lot, healed beautifully, and is ready for the chapter she deserves most: a forever home where she’ll be cherished every single day. Harriet is spayed, current on vaccines and prevention, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300, and adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
