About Dora

Watching Dora discover the world at five years old is nothing short of magic. This 95-pound Great Dane has gone through a lot, but she's finally learning that life can be warm and comforting. Dora recently celebrated her first-ever belly rub, and now that she's experienced kindness (and an occasional scrambled egg), she’s embracing everything life has to offer. While new sights can sometimes startle her, she walks beautifully on a leash and welcomes everyone she meets, adults and children alike, with a wagging tail and a gentle heart. Dora seeks a patient home where she can continue her journey of firsts. With her high prey drive, a sanctuary free of cats and small animals is essential. While she gets along with other dogs, she can be a bit reactive, so an experienced leader will help her through slow and thoughtful introductions. She has recently found her voice, and while she's still figuring out how to express it, her affection for her humans is unmistakable. If you have room in your heart for a resilient soul ready to be loved, Dora awaits you at Goodest Dog Rescue. Click apply to start the adoption process.
