About Bagel
Meet Bagel. This sweet girl is ready to embrace the good life after her time at Ridglan Farms. She comes with a unique twist—Bagel thinks she's a cat! She loves cat toys, adding a playful dimension to her personality. Bagel's journey hasn't been easy; she hasn’t experienced a full life of love and family until now. She's slowly learning to be brave after having faced trauma. As she navigates her new world, she will need a patient family that understands her apprehension. While still getting used to leash walking, she can panic when she sees the leash, so gentle encouragement will help. Although people shy initially, Bagel warms up when she's ready. She’s met neighbor children without issue, but any kids should respect her boundaries. Living with some Australian Shepherds, she remains indifferent but will follow their lead and adores the family cats, likely believing she is one herself. For a smooth transition, Bagel would thrive with a confident dog sibling to guide her and would enjoy a kitty companion too. She can get anxious when left alone, but she’s improving; expect her to settle down after a short time. Bagel has a few loves: cat toys, gentle affection, sniffing around the yard, bones to chew on, and basking in warm weather. Her dream list includes learning to be a beloved pet, having her own fluffy bed, and not fearing the outdoors anymore. She will require a fenced yard and another confident dog in the home. Ideally, her new family will have beagle or hound experience and live within five hours of Whitewater, WI, where she's currently fostered. This gentle soul is not a good fit for apartment living or homes with small children. Bagel is spayed, up-to-date with her vaccinations, and on a raw diet for her tummy. She’s still working on house training and loves to roam free instead of being crated. If you think you can provide Bagel with the love and understanding she needs, this could be the start of something beautiful. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
