About Mischief

Meet Mischief! This gorgeous puppy is an almost 7-month-old male German Shepherd with a sweet demeanor and a love for cuddles. He weighs in at 56 pounds and is expected to grow into a large dog. Mischief is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He's heartworm negative and receives monthly preventative care. Having come to us a bit under-socialized, he's making great strides in overcoming his shyness. Mischief adores hugs and seems to favor men, easily warming up to new people with a little patience. He’s done wonderfully with potty training, having had no accidents since his arrival. While he's been great with other dogs during playtime, he particularly enjoys games of tug o' war. Mischief's past experiences suggest that he might chase small dogs that run away, but he has never harmed them. He hasn’t been fostered around kids but should do well given his gentle nature. Mischief currently has a medium energy level. Though laid back for a Shepherd puppy, he benefits from a routine that includes both mental and physical stimulation. He enjoys helping out in the yard and is comfortable with lawn care equipment. While Mischief sometimes chews on things he shouldn’t, he learns quickly and responds well to redirection. This lovable pup is ready to find his forever home! You must live within a one-hour drive of Hampton, VA, for the adoption. Click apply to start the adoption process.
