About Shakan

Shakan is a charming 3-year-old mixed-breed dog, weighing around 60 lbs. His favorite pastime during walks is to sniff, snorf, and snoofle at everything that piques his interest. This refined and chatty gent needs a patient friend who will take the time to get to know him. Once he warms up, his vibrant tail will wag with enthusiasm as he plays fetch or shares his favorite toys with you. Shakan has lived with other friendly dogs in the past and gets along well with them, though he would appreciate a proper introduction to any resident dogs to ensure a smooth transition. While we’re unsure about his feelings towards cats, we're ready to provide tips for a gentle introduction in his new home. If you're interested, stop by the SPCA of Tompkins County in Ithaca, NY during our open hours Wednesday through Sunday: 12:00-4:30 PM (Thursday: 12:00-6:30 PM) for a meet-and-greet with this lovable pup.
