About Akiya
Akiya is a gentle senior cat on the lookout for a loving home where she can bask in comfort during her golden years. She’s truly a lap kitty, always ready to curl up with you and enjoy some quality affection. Following you around the house is one of her favorite things to do, and her comfortable spot is often a cat tree by the window, where she can watch the world go by. When the mood strikes, Akiya gets playful, especially with wand toys, although she has a soft spot for swiping human food from your plate if given the chance. This sweet girl prefers to be the only pet, as she’s not fond of sharing her space with other cats. At 15 years old, Akiya has a history of chronic IBD, but she has made significant strides in her health since coming to the rescue. She does manage her condition impressively well with medication and a special diet, and her litter box habits are excellent. Akiya may be toothless, but that doesn't stop her from enjoying both wet and dry food without any issues. She requires a loving home that understands her needs, but in return, she offers a wealth of love and companionship. Her adoption fee has been waived! Start your journey with Akiya today.
