Lumi is a 2.5-year-old female husky, who narrowly escaped euthanasia at a high-kill shelter. Thanks to the swift action of a rescue, she has joined us at Pawportunities. Currently heartworm positive, Lumi needs a loving foster or a foster-to-adopt home where she can rest and receive treatment. In the shelter, she appears quiet and observant, and she walks well on a leash. She is looking for a calm home full of love as she focuses on her recovery. While undergoing treatment, she’ll need a quieter lifestyle that allows for plenty of naps and cuddles. It's important to know that heartworms are only spread through mosquitoes, so your other pets are safe in her presence.
