About Zira
Meet Zira! Before she knew comfort and safety, Zira’s journey began in heartbreak. When our volunteers responded to help a mama dog with her newborn puppies, they found a devastating situation; one puppy had already passed away. Despite the grim conditions, Zira survived. Now, at just 3 months old, this lovely girl is in a nurturing foster home, learning that the world can be a kind place. Zira has definitely inherited her mother’s good looks, but she also shares a gentle, shy disposition. Unlike her boisterous siblings, Zira hangs back, observing rather than rushing into attention. She isn’t the type to jump into your lap right away; instead, she'll need a patient, understanding adopter willing to let her grow at her own pace. A calm environment with a steady routine would be ideal for her. Having another friendly dog at home could be beneficial in helping her gain confidence. Because she is still figuring out her place in the world, a bustling household with lots of visitors or energetic children may not be the best fit. Dogs like Zira often become incredibly loyal companions once they realize they are safe and loved. The bond you form with her will be one of the most rewarding experiences. Zira has already left behind a tough chapter; now, she is ready for her happily ever after. If you believe you can be the patient and loving person she needs, apply today! Ready to fall in love?
