About Rawley
Meet Rawley, a 7-year-old male mixed breed who came to the shelter as a police stray on Christmas Day. Initially scared and defensive, Rawley showed significant behavior challenges during his intake but has been making strides since then. After a few days, he started to show curiosity and even playfulness during supervised outings, indicating a willingness to connect despite his rough start. While Rawley still exhibits a cautious demeanor, he has made great progress. He is most comfortable outside of his kennel, where he can explore and sniff around without the stress of confinement. It's important to note that he is no longer displaying threatening behavior and has started to approach staff with a wagging tail, suggesting he is becoming more relaxed with handling. Rawley would thrive in a calm environment where he can continue to build trust and benefit from additional training. Because of his past experiences, he will do best in a home without children. This sweet boy is looking for a patient adopter who can give him the time he needs to fully adjust. Click apply to start the adoption process.
