About Blackie
Meet Blackie, an enchanting 8-year-old tortoiseshell cat with a gentle heart. Though she may be a bit shy initially, her sweet personality shines through once she feels safe with patient, kind people. Blackie's just the right size for cuddling and has a wealth of love to offer once she settles into her new home. If you’re in search of a devoted companion, she would love to meet you. Come and say hello to see if you’re a match! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County are spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped, all included in the adoption fee. When bringing Blackie home, allow her a transition period of 4-6 weeks to adjust to her new surroundings. We’re here to support you during this time with check-ins and counseling, ensuring a smooth adjustment. For more details, please review our adoption requirements before applying. Finding the perfect home for each animal is a top priority for us, and we take it very seriously. Note that processing applications may take 2-7 days. If Blackie is listed as in foster care, she is still available for adoption, but meet and greets will be with pre-approved applicants only.
