About Daphne

Meet Daphne, a sweet little beagle mix who started her journey as a stray wandering onto someone’s property in the south. She arrived at our rescue partner feeling shy but quickly turned into a friendly, outgoing girl who charms everyone she meets. While Daphne can still be a bit cautious with new faces, she’s known as a total lovebug, often flopping onto her back for a belly rub once she trusts you. Now estimated to be around a year old and weighing about 23 lbs, Daphne needs a family willing to shower her with the affection she deserves. She’s clever and can climb wire fencing or slip through small spaces, so a secure fence or no fence with plenty of exercise is ideal for her. A home without young children is best, as she can escape out an open door if not careful. Daphne has never lived in a home before, so she’ll need support learning good behaviors and adjusting to life with other dogs. She rides well in a crate and should adapt easily to house-training. Currently, Daphne is being boarded south of Boston, waiting for a loving foster or adopter. Prepare to welcome a loving companion into your life. Click apply to start the adoption process.
