About Salt
Meet Salt! This charming three-month-old puppy is a Chihuahua mix, and he’s here to capture your heart. Salt, along with his brother Pepper, was rescued from a property in Tonopah. They came to us quite shy and under-socialized, but Salt has really started to come out of his shell. Initially, he might avoid new faces, though he’s learning to trust and will approach for some much-needed pets. With time, patience, and plenty of treats, he’s bound to become a loving companion. Salt embodies puppy spirit—he loves to run, play, and engage in some friendly roughhousing with his fellow pups, especially Pepper. While they don’t need to be adopted together, their bond is undeniable. Taking on a puppy means committing to their growth and training, so ensure you’re ready for this rewarding journey. Puppies need guidance on manners, leash etiquette, and house-breaking. Adoption fees are fully sponsored, which includes vaccinations and a scheduled neuter surgery at the PAWS clinic. Salt will need to be taken there in July 2026 for his procedure. Email us at chitownrescue@gmail.com to set up a meet-and-greet! Ready for a new adventure?
