About Bosco

Meet Bosco! This handsome boy is one of 11 lucky arrivals making their way to Oregon from Mexico, landing in temporary foster homes in the greater Portland area. They come to us thanks to a wonderful partnership with a rescue near Lake Chapala outside of Guadalajara. While we learn more about these pups, don’t hesitate to submit your adoption application online to bring one of these amazing rescue dogs home! Foster Update 6/8: Bosco is thriving! Each day, he shows more bravery, sleeping like a champ in his crate and doing all his business outside. He’s beginning to enjoy toys and bully sticks. With his affectionate nature, he doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. Though we haven’t explored the neighborhood yet, that’s on the agenda, along with a possible bath! What a looker! Bosco is likely a mix of lab and hound, with exquisite golden eyes and a silky black coat. His broken femur has healed beautifully, and he’s full of energy. He walks well on a leash but could use some manners work with jumping—he’s just so full of love! He’s more than happy to sit quietly with you for cuddles. Smart and eager to learn, Bosco has mastered "sit" and "down" and is very food-motivated, which will make training easy. He’s unbothered by barking from other dogs and shows curiosity towards cats without being aggressive. Will you be the lucky hero to bring him home?
