Phantom thrives on affection, greeting each day with joy and a belief that every lap is just waiting for him to claim it. Residing in Kiowa, OK, Phantom made his way to rescue after a shelter stay. With him, you gain a bundle of fluff, teddy bear energy, and ample cuddle potential, minus the challenge of heaving a huge dog around. While Phantom enjoys being adored, he’s also “selectively social.” He tends to ignore other dogs, keeping his distance while asserting that his space should be respected. Cats? We recommend a cat-free home since he is likely to be happier without feline scrutiny. Although he’s a bit of a mystery around children, we think he would do best with older kids who understand that fluffy doesn’t mean a free pass for petting. Phantom enthusiastically meets new people, believing they should instantly start showering him with love and admiration. With moderate energy levels, he’s content both to join in activities and to relax. Car rides are his favorite, as he believes every journey is for his enjoyment. Phantom is polite on a leash during walks and prefers leisurely strolls where he can collect fans instead of scaling mountains. His calm demeanor means he doesn’t overreact to everyday noises, except when water is involved—he loves splashing around and doesn’t shy away from a good bath. Phantom’s true passion lies in toys. He thoroughly enjoys showcasing his collection, but when it comes to fetch, he prefers to entertain himself rather than return the ball. When it comes to training, he’s already mastered essential commands and is fully house trained. While he can be crated, he’d choose to roam free if given the option.
