About Jake
Jake is an affectionate and loyal 5-year-old mixed breed dog with a heart full of love. This tri-color gentleman is a certified cuddle-bug who thrives on companionship, making him the perfect friend for someone ready to provide a nurturing home. He is already housetrained and very friendly, eager to settle into a forever home where he can truly shine. Jake has faced some challenges along the way. After being adopted out in the past, he returned to PACC earlier this year due to his previous owner's hardships. Despite this, Jake remains sweet-natured and devoted, ready for a loving family to help him heal. Jake is currently undergoing recovery due to some health issues, including muscle wasting in his hind legs and a CRCL rupture. He requires bilateral TPLO surgery to get him back to running comfortably, and the medical care fund at PACC may help his new adopter schedule this surgery and cover some costs. Due to previous experiences, Jake is looking for an adult-only home, free of young children. While he may enjoy the company of small dogs, he does not get along with cats and has shown a tendency to chase them. New owners will need to ensure a secure yard for him to play in, as he has a history of escaping. Jake also experiences significant separation anxiety and will need positive crate training to help him feel comfortable when home alone. Enrichment activities will help keep his mind engaged. If you’re committed to this sweet boy’s well-being and ready to give him the love and care he deserves, come to PACC in Tucson, AZ, and meet Jake today. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
