About Kira

Meet Kira! She’s a lovely young pocket pittie who, at just 3 years old and 43 pounds, strikes the perfect balance of medium size and big heart. Kira exudes gentle trust and love, making her a wonderful companion. Unfortunately, Kira has faced challenges in her past, having been overlooked at the shelter due to her breed and having her ears cropped by someone before she was abandoned. Despite this, she remains warm and full of affection for people. Since entering foster care, Kira has flourished, reveling in the love and comfort of a home environment. Whether she’s enjoying a leisurely walk, trotting around the yard, or curling up next to you on the couch, she thrives on human companionship. Her foster family calls her sweet, loyal, and low maintenance, describing her calm demeanor punctuated by playful bursts when she’s feeling relaxed and happy. Kira ideally prefers to be the only dog in the home, or she could happily coexist with a compatible furry friend. All she really wants is a loving family to shower her with the attention she so richly deserves. Kira is currently in Santa Monica, CA, but transport can be arranged for the right home. After all she’s been through, Kira is ready to show you just how much love she can give. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
